Single people face a unique set of challenges in life that a married person does not. One of those is single dating. The reason single people date is to meet other people of the opposite sex. Many single people date looking for a potential life long partner.
A single person can enjoy the thought of knowing they are responsible for no one but themselves. On the other hand you never have anyone to bounce ideas off of. Every decision you make only affects you and not a spouse. This can be a dreadful way to live your whole life and may be incentive enough for you to get out and date.
Single dating can be a little overwhelming for some people. Especially if you do not have much experience doing it recently. For that reason a single person may retreat further into their comfort zone and not take any chances that could lead to rejection or a bad experience.
You have to ask yourself this basic question. "Do I like being single?" If you are coming off of a bad marriage or a bad relationship the answer might be yes for now. If you have never really ever been in a serious relationship or marriage and the answer is no I do not like being single, I am lonely, I need to meet someone then you need to step back and look at what is stopping you.
Single dating is not that bad. In many ways it is a numbers game and you need to keep playing until you find the right person for you.
Why not try online dating first to help get you into the habit of chatting with new people. After you have mastered this then you can move into the offline dating world.
